I suspect the mall's pro-Nerf generosity wasn't entirely altruistic. A video like this would go a long, long, way in convincing a jury the tyke endured "emotional damage" requiring "psychological counselling" and compensation for "pain and suffering" with a verdict awarding the family a sum large enough to buy the NRA Museum. Never got into Nerf myself (money spent on little foam darts is money better spent on little brass cartridges) but oh... the things talented people do out there... This was once a Nerf Stampede...
There is a happy ending to the story. I understand that the mall was informed of leftist Santa and he was immediately terminated. In addition a new Santa (straight from the North Pole -and the mall) visited the little boy's house and hand delivered a Nerf gun like the little boy wanted.

Why don't we "get over it" and quit talking about what is, what was and whatever shall be and instead direct our efforts as to what we as individuals must do. I therefore enjoy the "lettuce" interpretation and dream that perhaps there is a parallel universe in which all popes are elected unanimously and follow such a pope without a single dissenter forever after.
