A Mother Writes – Francis Does Not Answer.

A Normal Mother: Marco Tosatti writes about a mother who in February 2016 sent a letter to Pope Francis. She never received a reply, not even an acknowledgement of receipt. The woman introduced herself to Francis as a “normal mother” of two daughters, neither divorced nor lesbian and adds, “For that reason I am afraid that you may perhaps not send me an answer.”

Evil: The mother writes that her two daughters hear on TV from Francis’ mouth that – quote – “to avoid a pregnancy is in certain cases not an absolute evil.” She points out that her daughters were quick to conclude that accordingly artificial contraception and fornication are likewise no evil. The mother scolds Francis, “Holy Father, are you aware of the evil produced by your words in those who listen to you?”

Francis’ Mother: At the end of her letter the woman asks Pope Francis a question, “In your opinion, is your mother, who is certainly watching you from heaven and now knows the whole truth, happy with you today?”

Hilary Thesis: The journalist Hilary White published on her blog whatisupwiththesynod.com, what she calls the Hilary Thesis. It argues that Francis’ pontificate is intended by God to “winnow” the faithful, to force people finally to choose a side and get off the “conservative” fence, to stop trying to appear “moderate”. White concludes, “Be a traditionalist and don’t apologise.”

What that Catholic laywoman wrote to Pope Francis is in fact just what all faithful are thinking about this bad pope. In reality, he knows perfectly well what he says, what he does and who he invites to the city of God and the dreadful prelates he appoints. He is, in fact, a very bad pope. Pray that Almighty God may in His Mercy grant this arrogant pope a Pauline Conversion.

No middle ground decisions should be proclaimed by the Vicar of THE Church. When Jesus comes to judge our WILLFUL actions of life. There will be NO maybe decisions made. Act accordingly Pilgrims.

Thank you for the info!!! Do you have the address to the Vatican so I can send a letter?

Under normal circumstances the Pope does answer every letter because he employs people to do the answering for him. We wrote to two different Popes on two different occasions,Benedict and Francis. Once we sent a Christmas card to Pope Benedict at the Vatican with a pleasant note inside and received a beautiful reply back from the Nuncio of the United States with Pope Francis' signature. Then our 10 year old grandson wrote to Pope Francis (he even drew pictures for the Pope and colored them) asking the Pope for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary to be performed according to Our Lady of Fatima request and he never got a reply back from Francis. Go figure.

I don't like the Pope at all, and the woman is totally right, but how can you expect the Pope to answer every letter. 🤨 🤦

If I were Pope Francis I wouldn't have answered the letter either. If I were the Pope, however, I do not believe I would ever receive a letter like this one. We need to understand the ego of the current man in white to know what he will respond to and what he will not.

Looking at the church from a different point of view, we have a declining enrollment in seminaries, a declining number of priests and religious and an incredibly poorly catechized laity. Regrettably most priests do not want to recognize the fact that churches are now emptier today than ever before and parochial schools are closing at an accelerating rate. They feel comfortable in their homilies restating the same lines learned in the seminary years ago. Trust in God and He will bring back the parishioners that have left. However, the sad reality is that our society in the United States has and is changing and the Church is not changing with it and/or recognizing the changes.

Overall, America’s Catholic schools are closing at a rapid rate. At their peak in the mid-1960s, more than 13,000 Catholic elementary and secondary schools enrolled 12% of U.S. school children. But by 2012, fewer than 7,000 Catholic schools enrolled about two million, or 5% of U.S. school-aged children. Why? A number of reasons explain the decline: No more nuns. From a peak of over 100,000 sisters in the 1960s down to about 6,500 in 2010 still working or less than one per Catholic school. Rising tuition. In 1970, nearly 75% of all Catholic schools charged less than $100 in tuition. By 2010, the average tuition was about $4,000 at a Catholic elementary school and around $8,000 for a high school. The Church itself, many scholars suggest, would like to withdraw from general education and use its limited resources for strictly religious education.

The Catholic congregations are aging and dying off. At least 60% of most congregations today are over 65 years of age. The older the church’s membership, the more likely that the church is to have falling numbers, weaker finances, anemic youth programming and a sense of spiritual fatigue.
The pews will remain empty unless the Catholic Church can address the issues blocking attendance. This will not be an easy task. The issues have to be addressed at the highest level in the Church.

Francis is basically a global warming/Marxist/anti capitalist and he is doing what he thinks will bring the Church back from the black hole it finds itself headed into. He is obviously not correct and doesn't have a clue on what to do next but I don't have the answers either.

Much of the above was gathered from Catholic Journal.
