One day, the Lord said to an Angel, "Go down to the earth and bring me the most precious thing in all the world." After years of searching, the Angel found himself on a battlefield. There, he saw a soldier dying from deep wounds, sustained while bravely defending his homeland.
The Angel carefully gathered a single drop of that soldier’s blood, brought it before God, and said, "Lord, surely this must be the most precious thing on earth!"
But God replied, "Indeed, it is a holy thing. But it is not the most precious thing in all the world."
The Angel returned to the earth. After many more years of wandering, he came upon a hospital. There, he found a nurse dying from a terrible illness she had contracted while selflessly caring for the sick.
As her final breath escaped her lips, the Angel caught it and carried it to the throne of the Heavenly Judge. "Oh Lord, surely this breath of sacrifice is the most precious thing on earth."
But God answered, "Truly, a life laid down for others is …More

Catholic Bishop Co-Consecrates Anglican Lay-"Bishop": Bishop Joseph Brennan, 72, of Fresno, California, attended the invalid episcopal “consecration” of Anglican layman Greg Kimura on April 18 at St. James Episcopal temple in Fresno. During the consecration, Monsignor Brennan said the consecration prayer and lifted his hands. He just didn't lay his hands on Kimura. Monsignor Brennan is the cleric to the left.

German cardinal instructs priests to facilitate same-sex couple blessings

Cardinal Reinhard Marx, who has served as archbishop of Munich and Freising in Germany since 2008, has instructed the priests and full-time pastoral staff in the archdiocese to introduce the controversial handout "Blessing Gives Strength to Love" as the basis of pastoral care.
Priests who do not want to carry out such blessing celebrations for homosexual marriages or remarried divorced people must refer the couples to the dean or other staff.
A letter from the cardinal, which Die Tagespost reported on Monday, indicates that the handout should be “the basis of pastoral care” and beginning in June, various offices within the archdiocese are to offer further training as to the design of the blessing celebrations for all full-time officials in pastoral care.
Marx emphasized that "the blessing is not the celebration of a sacramental marriage.” However, this does not mean that the blessing of a non-sacramental union, which in many cases is already a civil marriage, moves the couple to the …

Once, along the banks of a winding river, lived an old fisherman and his family. Fishing was the only life they knew, passed down through generations. There was a time when the river was generous, and they lived comfortably. But those days were long gone. The river had grown thin, and their wealth had vanished. The fisherman couldn't afford a new boat, and his old one was held together by nothing but luck and prayer. Every morning, instead of fishing, he spent hours patching the leaks just to keep it afloat for one more day.
One evening, a wise old traveler knocked on their door, asking for a place to stay. Despite their poverty, the family welcomed him with open hearts. They shared their meager dinner—hardly enough for themselves—and gave him the warmest spot in the house to sleep.
In the morning, as the sage prepared to leave, he turned to the fisherman. "Thank you for your hospitality. I wish to repay you. Ask me for anything."
The fisherman looked at the old man, who seemed even …More

SEAN HANNITY DEAD WRONG ON CLERGY ABUSE - …
SEAN HANNITY DEAD WRONG ON CLERGY ABUSE

Bill Donohue
I have known Sean Hannity for years, and he is a good guy. But I cannot allow our friendship to get in the way of my job. He made comments on his April 16 Fox News show about the clergy sexual abuse scandal that are dead wrong. Apparently, he also offended Catholics on his radio show this week.
Sean started out by saying he was raised Catholic, went to Catholic schools and attended a seminary high school. He said he broke away from the Catholic Church because of the clergy sexual abuse scandal. That is his business. But it is my business to correct the record when misstatements of fact abound about this subject.
Sean said, “I left the Catholic Church in large part because of institutionalized corruption. And it was at the parish level to the bishop level, cardinals, all the way to Rome. And you know, the very top scandals, terrible behavior, frankly, went not only unchecked, but they never …More

Two veteran chess players sat down at the checkered board and carefully deployed their armies.
Each side was led by a King, with a powerful Queen standing by his side. Both the white and black forces held their ground within fortresses guarded by stone towers. In the ranks stood the cavalry, the bishops, and the front-line soldiers.
The battle began. The board became a theater of collisions and cunning maneuvers. Both Kings commanded their troops with calculated precision.
In every way, this match mirrored the grand wars fought by the kings of the earth. Those battles, too, were filled with head-on clashes, flanking movements, and strategic strikes designed to split the enemy ranks.
But eventually, all participants of those great earthly wars left this fleeting world behind. Everything vanished into the void—the brilliant schemes of the master strategists, the brave deeds of the warriors, and the ambitions of the crown.
When a game of chess reaches its end, all the pieces are swept off …More

Francis' Main Legacy Are Unsuitable, Bad Bishops

On 22 April, ElWanderer.com wrote that one of the most painful legacies of Francis’s pontificate was the bishops he left the Church.
In Argentina, Francis appointed 67 bishops, choosing them from among priests who lacked the most basic and essential qualities.
On at least three occasions, Francis appointed bishops in Argentina who accepted the nomination but then renounced their consecration weeks later. The rumoured reason was 'skeletons in the closet'.
The same happened with the failed Indonesian bishop, Pascalis Syukur: he was chosen as a cardinal by Bergoglio in 2024, gladly accepted the designation, but resigned a few days later. It later emerged that he had been in a romantic relationship with a woman with whom he had two children.
It seems likely that Francis appointed bishops from among priests he found personally agreeable or with whom he had some affinity.
ElWanderer gives another example. All of the Jesuits who formed the Bergoglian group in the 1980s are now bishops.

Two Israeli soldiers were sentenced to 30 days in military jail for smashing a statue of the crucified Christ in Lebanon. The Israeli army said one soldier used a sledgehammer while the other filmed; both were removed from combat duty. Six other soldiers were present and did not intervene or report the incident. According to 'The Guardian', such punishment is rare. In 2025, about 88% of alleged misconduct cases involving Israeli forces were closed or unresolved.

Vatican Pushes Ahead With Synodal Church Governance

The Vatican is pressing forward with the plan to reshape the Church into a more participatory, consultative body with shared decision-making across multiple levels, according to a report by katholisch.de on April 21.
On April 17, the General Secretariat of the Synod convened the XVI Ordinary Council in an online session chaired by Cardinal Mario Grech. The meeting opened with a prayer led by Sister Nathalie Becquart.
Council members reviewed progress on implementing the final document of the Synod on Synodality and examined ongoing work by study groups.
A key next step will be a preparatory meeting at the Vatican from June 23–25, aimed at translating the Synod’s 2024 conclusions into concrete action at the continental level. This implementation phase is scheduled to run through spring 2028.
Participants in June will include leaders of major continental episcopal bodies (CELAM, CCEE, and SECAM) alongside representatives of Eastern Catholic patriarchates and delegations from the bishops …More

"What exactly is friendship?" Life asked.
"It’s refusing to speak ill of them, especially when they aren't around," replied Loyalty.
"It’s showing up for the highs and staying through the lows," said Commitment.
"It’s speaking the truth, with no filters and no pretending," whispered Honesty.
"It’s laughing until it hurts and crying whenever you need to," added Emotion.
"It’s knowing they’re standing right there with you, even with your eyes closed," sighed Trust.
"It’s missing them when they’re gone and feeling that spark of joy when they return," reminded Memory.
"It’s wanting nothing but the absolute best for them," said Compassion.
"It’s reaching out your hand the second they start to stumble," said Support.
"It’s taking a deep breath when they mess up," whispered Patience.

I Tried the Water Doctors Prescribe for Health

In southern Russia, there’s a small town where natural mineral water isn’t just a wellness trend — it’s part of a real medical system. Doctors recommend it. Treatments are prescribed. And for many people, it’s completely free. I traveled to Yessentuki, a quiet town in the Caucasus Mountains, to see this for myself. What I found wasn’t what I expected. Instead of chaos or decay, I discovered a place built around healing — both physical and something deeper. In this video, we explore: Natural mineral springs used for health treatments How Russia’s sanatorium system still works today Historic mud bath clinics dating back to the Russian Empire And an unexpected spiritual dimension overlooking it all This isn’t just about water.
