Łódź: Cardinal Meets with Latin Mass Faithful

On Sunday, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski of Łódź, Poland, met with the faithful of the Roman rite at the Chapel of All Saints in Łódź outside of the liturgy.
Cardinal Krajewski said he was happy that Catholics could attend Mass in the Roman rite at three locations within the Archdiocese of Łódź.
He added that ten priests have been assigned to this pastoral ministry of the Latin Mass under Rev. Paweł Markowski's responsibility.
Cardinal Krajewski served as Papal Almoner from 2013 to 2026. On 12 March 2026, Pope Leo XIV appointed him Archbishop of Łódź.
The cardinal was renowned for his activism on behalf of transvestite prostitutes, having organised several lunches for the 'poor' with Pope Francis to which he invited dozens of transvestites.

Perhaps he’ll start a Latin Mass for transvestites in Łódź.

Bishop Pierre Roy Answers Questions Regarding an Imperfect General Council
"When there is no true successor of Saint Peter, the election of a Supreme Pontiff remains an important duty incumbent upon the Church. When the Church finds Herself without a Pope, as happens upon the death of the Pontiff, She is bound to provide Herself with another; that is to say, Her members must act to ensure that the Holy See is once again occupied. This shows how important it is for the Church to have a visible head, the true principle of unity."

Saint Anselm: The Beauty of God’s Surprising, Disconcerting and Mysterious Ways

Saint of the Day, April 20th 1967. Without revision of the Author
Statue of Saint Anselm outside Canterbury Cathedral
Tomorrow, the 21st, we have the feast of St. Anselm of Canterbury (1033 ca. – 1109), Bishop, Confessor, and Doctor of the Church. Intrepid in the battles of the Faith, he defended the Church against King William, the redhead.
“Christ, he used to say, does not want a slave for a wife. He loves nothing in this world so much as the freedom of His Church.”
An account of the consecration of St. Anselm published in Lives of the Saints by Rohrbacher:
The English bishops decided to consecrate Anselm as Archbishop of Canterbury, but he flatly refused because he knew of the royal intrusion into this office.
The prelates showed him the consequences of his refusal for England. The Saint replied he was aware of those problems but was old and barely able to carry himself. How could he bear the burden of an entire Church? On the other hand, it was not his nature to take care of temporal …More

Are you, for example, suggesting that there has been something essentially wrong with the Catholic understanding of holy orders for two millennia?

An Open Letter to Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, S.J. - First Things

Your Eminence:
In an article recently published by a major German Catholic website, you suggested that the question of whether the Church can ordain women has not been definitively settled: “I cannot imagine how a Church can continue to exist in the long run if half of God’s people suffer because they have no access to ordained ministry.” Putting aside for a moment the questions of what, and how, suffering is caused by the Church’s ancient practice of calling only men to holy orders, your formulation raises questions about the past, present, and future.
Are you, for example, suggesting that there has been something essentially wrong with the Catholic understanding of holy orders for two millennia? How would such a notion square with the Lord’s promise to preserve his Church in truth through the continual outpouring of the Holy Spirit (John 15:16; 16:13)? The question of who can be admitted to holy orders has never been understood as a secondary matter of ecclesiastical discipline; it …

A church of accommodation to the world soon becomes a church of irrelevance to the supernatural lives of the people. It abandons the city of God for the city of man. The Protestant reformation has proven that lesson all too well.

A UK Christian Pastor will face TRIAL this week for preaching a gospel message based on John 3.16 near a general hospital. He is accused of attempting to “influence” people accessing abortion. He never even mentioned this topic. 🤯 This trial is important. Can Christians really be removed from public spaces not because of what they say or do - but because of what they might think??

“I am your God who was crucified on the cross; true God and true man in one person who is present everyday in the hands of the priest. When you pray any prayer to me, always end your prayer with the intention that my will always shall be done and not yours. For when you pray for the already condemned, I do not hear you. Sometimes you also pray for some things that are against your own welfare and that is why it is necessary for you to entrust your will to me, for I know all things and do not provide you with anything but what is beneficial. Many pray without the right intention and that is why they do not deserve to be heard."

Pope's Brother: "When He Was 7, a Mom Said He’d Be the First American Pope"

John Prevost discussed in an April 17 interview with 'EWTN News In Depth' his life as the pope’s brother. Main points.
Loss of privacy: “I used to be able to leave the front door open. Now I’m hesitant because you don’t know who’s going to come to the door.”
Ordinary childhood: “Probably like anyone else’s—it was a mom and dad, three boys, school, homework, play, and repeat. It was just a normal life.”
Childhood memory: “One time we were building a shed in the backyard and Rob fell through the roof. It was just part of the wood was rotted, because we were using old doors from the house for the roof.”
Leo XIV’s early vocation: “We always knew that he wanted to be a priest. From a very young age, that was just always there.”
A “prophecy”: “When he was maybe in first or second grade, one of the moms across the street said, ‘You know, he’s going to be the first American Pope.’ We just kind of heard it and moved on.”
Still just brothers: “People say, ‘Who says no to the Pope?’ I …More

American says both his grandparents were school teachers. One of them stopped working to raised their kids, so their income was only about $20,000 per year On $20,000 in a year, he was able to buy a house, support a family of four, buy 2 cars, send my father to private school. He was even able to retire 10 years early He says this kind of life is now impossible and that’s why young people feel “hopeless”

Every year without fail, proposals that help young people, proposals that help poor people, first time home buyers, yada, yada, yada fail in Congress. — But every year, hundreds of billions of dollars in Social Security increases sail through the chambers of Congress without a second thought.
There is really no support system for the younger generation at this point.” “Most people are trying to come to grips with the fact …More

What kind of car did those "Boomers" have when they were first starting out??? No A/C, cracked windshield, ripped seats, manual windows, locks, mirrors, etc.; in equivalent dollars probably worth about 1/10th of the vehicle this guy is sitting in.
What kind of house did those "Boomers" buy when they were first starting out??? Was there a government "support system" available in, say, 1965-1980 for people starting families??? Why should there be???
No one should expect to start out in a 4/3 house in the suburbs with A/C and stainless steel appliances. It's easy to find a house for less than $60,000, but it will be a 2/1 needing some real elbow grease and sweat equity.
Stop expecting and complaining. Start thinking and doing.

Prevost refused to defend Catholic moral doctrine against the advocate of polygamy, the pagan apostate Fon Fru Asaah Angwafor IV.
Prevost said nothing against this frontal assault on faith, but he did use his speech to launch a political weapon:
“ Jesus told us: Blessed are the peacemakers! But woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.”

Tribal Leader Issues Polygamy in Cathedral - Leo XIV Remains Silent But Catholics React

On April 16, during the visit of Pope Leo XIV to Bamenda, Cameroon, Fon Fru Asaah Angwafor IV, the tribal leader of the Mankon community, spoke about polygamy. He made the remarks during an interreligious peace meeting in the cathedral.
He is the hereditary "king" of the Mankon people and rules over culture and spiritual tradition. He presides over pagan rites, such as important funerals and ancestral ceremonies. During these events, he wears ceremonial attire alongside elders. He also identifies as 'Catholic'.
In his speech at the cathedral, the tribal leader stated that 'some cultural practices continue to pose challenges' and cited polygamy as an example.
He expressed gratitude that, within the framework of the 2023 and 2024 Synod, African bishops had been tasked with conducting a study on polygamy and its place in the life of the Church.
The tribal chief went on to say that adulterers in polygamous relationships should be able to fully integrate into the Church without being 'judged …More
