On Sunday, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski of Łódź, Poland, met with the faithful of the Roman rite at the Chapel of All Saints in Łódź outside of the liturgy. Cardinal Krajewski said he was happy that Catholics could attend Mass in the Roman rite at three locations within the Archdiocese of Łódź. He added that ten priests have been assigned to this pastoral ministry of the Latin Mass under Rev. Paweł Markowski's responsibility. Cardinal Krajewski served as Papal Almoner from 2013 to 2026. The Kyiv Independent Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia will not let Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico use their airspace to travel to Moscow for Russia's Victory Day celebrations in May, officials said. "Lithuania and Latvia have already announced that they will not allow us to fly through their territories during the flight to Moscow," Fico said in an address on April 18. "Why? Member states of the European Union do not allow the Prime Minister of another member state of the European Union to fly to these territories," the leader said, criticizing the decision.
