"We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. I do not think that the wide circle of the American Society, or the whole wide circle of the Christian Community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-church, between the gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the Antichrist. The confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence. It is, therefore, in God's Plan, and it must be a trial which the Church must take up, and face courageously."

Sometimes the answers are right in front of your face. His crucifix tells it all about John Paul ll.

Even more often people paste what they want to paste, ignoring the topic or trying to change it., And they use sometimes goats or scapegoats to do it.

So spoke the Pontiff who did a great job in working for the destruction of the Church. A great first rate heretic and modernist.

If the American Polonia expect us to cooperate in matters pertaining to the Polish American community, then we would expect Polonia to cooperate in taking the great responsibility of the Polish nation for Christianity. We have to put it this way because we are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel. This confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence; it is a trial which the whole Church, and the Polish Church in particular, must take up. We all realize it is not an easy matter, and a great deal of it depends upon the outcome on the Vistula. I think that Polonia is perhaps the most aware of it, and it seems to me that other layers of American society are less enlightened in this respect and simply eliminate this problem from their sphere of interests. Polonia, which shares Poland's sentiments, feels the significance of the confrontation going on at the banks of the Vistula. It is a trial of not only our nation and Church, but in a sense a test of two thousand years culture and Christian civilization with all of its consequences for human dignity, individual rights, human rights and the rights of nations. All these are affected by the confrontation. As the number of people who understand the importance of this confrontation increase in Poland and America, we can look with greater trust towards the outcome of this confrontation. The Church has gone through many trials, as has the Polish nation, and has emerged victorious even though at a cost of great sacrifice."

In this context he went to Assisi to build an utopian pan-religious front for peace against Soviet communist impiety, at the same time ignoring impiety of Judeo-masonic neo-communist forces in the West.

Why,oh why he was so holy and unholy the same time?😭 why to celebrate neocatechumenal Mass? Why why why many things why...and the same time being so devoted, so prayerful. Sometimes Iam wondering what was in his mind that times when he decided about the Church.

I’m also very conflicted about him. He became Pope at a time when the Council had already done its damage in Western Europe and the Americas, while in Poland, things looked a lot better at the time. He was sadly not very concerned about the liturgy, though he would never have acted in the mode of Bergoglio. He mishandled the problem of sexual abuse. He was sadly not very concerned about the liturgy, though he would never have acted in the mode of Bergoglio. He mishandled the problem of sexual abuse. The best of his teaching had to do with moral theology (I speak of Veritatis splendor and Evangelium vitae, not so much the Theology of the Body), and that is what is being washed away in these days. He was instrumental in the collapse of the Soviet regime, but also lamented how Poland was embracing secular capitalism. He remains a conflicted figure, in my opinion.

JP2 Lost a lot during WW2. Many of you may don't know or even imagine Poland during that time. JP2 remembering all of this horrible experiences was very into peace with other religions, thats why Assisi happened. I don't personally think that was good idea but I try to understand him.
Always is easy to see from our own angle.

Calling him anitpope is too much. No,he wasn't perfect as the pope but you can never say that he was working against the Church and her doctrine like Francis is working now.
JP2 played huge role in the collapse of the communism in Poland and I will never agree with anyone who say that he was or worked with Communists.

"and the same time being so devoted, so prayerful."

Devoted? To the conciliar revolution in the Church?
Prayerful? Rejecting traditional prayers of the Roman Church liturgy? Modifying Rosary? Praying at meetings with Jews and Muslims? Please: no kidding in such a serious matter.

They truly believed that V2 is new spring of the Church, they wanted Church to be great. Only now we know the fruits. I can see your comments and most of the time you fight for the liturgy...that's very good but not everything is about liturgy. The main problem is with theology and theology didn't change just during V2,theology start changing way before and Council only put it on the paper. Only few knew what they ware doing and why, most of them like Karol Wojtyla and Ratzinger wasn't aware that is the revolution.
Be angry with this who knew what's going on.
Yes,he punished Lefebrve but I truly belive that he done it because he didn't want to split the Church and ...really we want there,we know only what we know,we don't know everything.

You can say many bad things about JP2 and I will agree with you but you can't take from him that he was the man of prayer and devoted to Our Lady.
I always remember that God is allowing this things to happen. He knows what to do.

@The New Knights Templar He carried around a diabolic mockery of Christ. As the other poster said, should be obvious by the "cross" he carried. I think he was a communist and certainly had no true love for our lady or he would have fulfilled her requests made at Fatima.

So it seems at this moment I am on fire for Tradition. I like it as an interesting read about how we came to be Catholic and why we beleive in Tradition. To me it is as an epiphany, when I realize I am both Catholic and Tradition, and the words are interchangeable. I then also realize when someone trys to seperate the two, almost like a hypostatic union, they commit an act of schism. God bless you! Our Lady of the Rosary keep you and pray for us!
