LA CEGUERA ESPIRITUAL DEL CLERO CATÓLICO - El "tra… - The "traditional" bishop, Monsignor Schneider, met with Bergoglio a few days ago in the Vatican. The words of the Apostle St. John come to mind: "Whoever goes astray and does not abide in the teaching of Christ does not have God; but he who abides in the teaching of Christ has the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, nor welcome him; for he who welcomes him shares in his evil deeds." II Jn. 1:9-11. There is certainly nothing to be expected from these pathetic "conservative" ecclesiastics - even those in favour of "traditionalism", as in this case - who are full of disgusting smiles and cooing at the false Argentine prophet, instead of publicly denouncing him in a manly, energetic and threatening manner for all the evils he has perpetrated during his endless Petrine usurpation and for all that the Argentine impostor is and represents: a notorious impious man, a contumacious heretic, a solicitous precursor of the Antichrist, a destroyer of the Church and a mortal enemy of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Instead of wearing cassocks, these distinguished "conservative" prelates would appear to wear skirts and to desire nothing more ardently than to please the world and to ingratiate themselves with the powerful. After sixty years of post-conciliar devastation and twelve years of Bergoglian "pontificate", these people, reputed for maintaining a "good" doctrinal line, of course always "reasonable" and "measured", continue to live in the stratosphere, dreaming frivolously and irresponsibly in the clouds, while the Church is in ruins and the Antichrist is knocking at the door, totally incapable of understanding the gravity of the situation in which we find ourselves and of acting accordingly. Only the Parousia will put an end to this terminal crisis, of this I have no doubt. Come, Lord Jesus!
Io spero che sia un fotomontaggio, se no sarei veramente deluso e inorridito. Mons. Vigano' e' di un'altra pasta, la pasta dei VERI EROI
I regret to inform you that this was not a photomontage: 20-01-2025 S.E. Mons. Athanasius Schneider - Vatican Media
Assuming this photo is legit and not computer-generated, it is interesting that Francis allowed it since in the past he has aggressively discouraged people from doing this gesture even to the point of pulling his hand away.
Unless, like I said below, he is literally lapping it up, because he knows what he is, and Bp S is relating to him in a way he should not.
The great Bishop is only doing what Priests and Prelates have done for untold centuries: Kiss the Fisherman’s Ring of the validly, juridically and canonically elected Successor of Saint Peter, to whom he owes filial deference and obeisance. There is nothing at all wrong with him doing so, other than the fact that this particular Pope dislikes and discourages such acts done out of respect for the Papal Office. But His Excellency, Bishop Schneider, is absolutely correct and appropriate in what he is doing here, which is simply one of the many and varied Protocols nominally observed by the Faithful when they are fortunate enough to be received in Private Audience by the reigning Holy Father. The Kiss of the Pontifical Ring (which is one of the oldest and most visibly recognized symbols of the Pope’s authority still very much in use from ancient times) is an acknowledgement of the Supremacy of the Papal Office itself and submission to the Throne upon which the Roman Pontiff sits, not necessarily of the man himself. And it takes profound and unmeasurable humility from a great and holy Shepherd like Bishop Schneider to do so when the recipient of such honors is not personally worthy of them, as many great Saints, Martyrs and Doctors of the Church have also done in earlier ages under the evil Pontificates of unworthy and ungodly men who ruled and reigned as the Vicar of Christ on Earth during their lifetimes.
@sp2 . . That is a question, my friend, one would have to inquire of the Bishop himself; which, at this particular time, would be most difficult, in that presently he is standing at the portal between life and death, and would thus, most likely be unable to give a coherent answer.
@SonoftheChurch The gesture of Bp S. is the perfect demonstration of fake humility. It is disgusting.
@petrus100452 What aspect of the “gesture” specifically, in your opinion, is “fake”? And would you, if received in Private Audience by any other Holy Father who preceded Pope Francis, observe the protocol of obeisance with the Kiss of the Ring of the Fisherman?
This is one of the reasons why I believe gtv has turned into a site for malicious Catholics. Mostly hate-filled comments against clergy, bitter accusations, criticism, negativity, mockery, tasteless jokes, lampooning and sarcasm. There is hardly any rightly ordered speech. Even if one does not agree with or dislikes the Bishop, the only purpose in posting such things seems to be detraction - to tarnish the reputation of the Bishop in question in the eyes of others. Whatever we do to priests, we do to the High Priest Jesus Christ as every priest takes his priesthood from Christ.
Unlike Christ, all popes right from St Peter are not sinless, popes can sin. Even if one thinks the Pope does not represent Christ, or even if someone does not believe he is Pope, there is no need for all the sins against charity that I see in some of the posts and comments here on gtv. We should not risk losing our soul because of the great deception of the devil, who has distracted so many people with the crisis that they lose focus on building up holiness and gaining merits and expend energy on spewing vitriol. Trads need to forgive the ones who caused the crisis, just as we would forgive anyone who did us evil. Maybe then the restoration will happen.
The problem is that if we do not forgive, neither will we be forgiven. I am not saying that those who commit crimes against predators are not to be lawfully dealt with, so pl don't put words into my mouth. I don't think at judgement God would ask this question of me as He knows I have tried to enlighten others and have never succeeded till date.
I don't know much about the details, so I could be wrong here. But to the best of my knowledge, Catholic Saints don't criticize under a pseudonym, they openly addressed the person directly for the purpose of fraternal correction. But we cannot assume our situation is equal, for they were already in a higher state of virtue and knew when and how to do so. I doubt that name-calling, detraction, vitriolic criticisms, rash accusations and even immodest speech will enlighten anyone or even get us into Heaven.
The fat one is lapping it up
That is the only correct response for someone who is usurping the papacy and subverting the Faith. My Faith - THE Faith - teaches you trample someone underfoot who does a thing like this as worthless salt, which Bergoglio is..
God bless & protect Bishop Athanasius Schneider's world wide crusade against the crisis in the Church! ~ To implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, God's help & intervention, particularly for the Holy See in Rome, with the intention of making reparation for the sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary! ~ 'The Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima'.
There seems to be a dearth of understanding Jesus' words, "Suffer it to be so now. For so it becometh us to fulfill all justice."
