Francis this morning visited the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith to meet with Cardinal Ladaria and thank him for his work over the last 6 years. He also met with other officials. Cardinal-designate Victor Manuel Fernández will soon take over from Cardinal Ladaria, and is expected to bring a fresh approach to the leadership of the Vatican’s doctrine office.
It's sad to see that some of the clergymen and laymen are staunch supporters of Bergoglio, (not) knowing of the heresies and errors from the beginning!
The only thing that Fernandez can bring, given his and Francis' keynote speeches, is further apostasy, even more heresies and the elimination of the remnants of Catholicism in the synodal church.
Reminder: Worcester diocese which is led by Bishop Robert McManus has issued a policy for all Catholic schools in the diocese instructing students to use their names and pronouns assigned at birth. Last year MaManus banned a school from using Catholic name over the schools decision to fly LGBT and BLM flags.
He is my bishop and you will see him at the PP mill now and then praying the rosary. Pray for him
Bishop McManus is a good man. He tries to uphold the Faith. He supports his priests more than most bishops do. His diocese is dying. It’s not his fault, but it’s true. 30+ parishes, and I don’t even know how many parochial schools have closed in the last 25 years. The city of Worcester, which is the second largest in New England, with just over 200k inhabitants only has 2 parochial schools at this point. The whole diocese has 15 grammar schools and 6 high schools now. There is a great hispanic population, largely from Puerto Rico and the DR, but they are overwhelmingly evangelical, as far as I can tell. I appreciate his efforts, but these schools were already gone if he has to tell them to refer to students as they truly are.
Cardinal Pell would have been 82 today
He has a new 'birthday' - the day he died and went to heaven. If that is the case, he is certainly happier with Birthday upgrade version 1.1!
God Bless Cardinal Pell in the joy of Heaven. He certainly is worthy of it. Just think, Francis is in the hospital for a serious issue. If Francis were to die soon and Cardinal Pell was still here, he could have been a very powerful force in steering the conclave to elect a Catholic. Maybe he can do so from Heaven.
Pope elevates booming Las Vegas to a Metropolitan see, creating US’ 35th province with Reno and Salt Lake as suffragans. This is USA's 1st new archdiocese since Houston in 2004.
ope Francis has created the ecclesiastical province of Las Vegas from dioceses that were previously part of the ecclesiastical province of San Francisco.
The suffragan sees of the new Archdiocese of Las Vegas are the Diocese of Reno and the Diocese of Salt Lake City. The first archbishop of Las Vegas is Bishop George Thomas, who has been bishop of Las Vegas since 2018.
Five California dioceses (Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, Santa Rosa, and Stockton) remain suffragan sees of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, as does the Diocese of Honolulu.
The ecclesiastical province of Las Vegas is the first province created in the United States since 2004, when the Diocese of Galveston-Houston was raised to the dignity of an archdiocese and given six suffragan sees that were previously part of the province of San Antonio.
An Earthly Pair-a-dice.
Orbán Viktor: "As our Fundamental Law states, Christianity has the power to preserve the Hungarian nation. Without Christianity, Hungary would not exist today. Hungary has a future if it stays on the Christian path, and today the Christian path is the path of peace."
@provivoe his wife is Catholic and Hungary is supporting Christian countries in need all over the world. You are simply wrong.
Oban is standing up for the Christian traditions of Hungary against modern day apostates, heretics, and Muslims. Francis, on the other hand, is an apostate, heretic, homo and TRANS lover, and is pro-Muslim infiltration of Europe/Hungary/
I'd side with Orban, not with Bergoglio.
