I've always felt something was off about this image of Our Lady. Maybe it's because she's bare-headed. Traditionally Mary is depicted as veiled as a sign of modesty (like the article notes) but also she was a married woman (spouse of Holy Ghost/St. Joseph). Plus the fact that some liberal priests I know who are hardly paragons of Marian piety have started to pray to her under this title - no doubt to show their support for Francis - confirms my suspicions.
