[21] Then came Peter unto him and said: Lord, how often shall my brother offend against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? [22] Jesus saith to him: I say not to thee, till seven times; but till seventy times seven times.
Bishop Alberto Rojas of the Diocese of San Bernardino, California, has mandated that the faithful return to kneeling from the conclusion of Agnus Dei until the Post-Communion Prayer beginning on November 30th, the First Sunday of Advent.
(LifeSiteNews) — The worst chastisement God can inflict on his people is bad clergy, Exorcist Father Chad Ripperger pointed out during a Q&A session at the 2025 Call to Holiness Conference in Michigan. Asked his thoughts on whether the world is undergoing a prophesied chastisement, Ripperger said, “Before there’s any physical chastisement, there’s usually a spiritual chastisement.” He highlighted the declaration of St. John Eudes that bad priests are “the worst chastisement that God can mete out on a people,” adding that he thinks we are already undergoing this spiritual chastisement. In his book The most evident mark of God’s anger and the most terrible castigation He can inflict upon the world are manifested when He permits His people to fall into the hands of clergy who are priests more in name than in deed, priests who practice the cruelty of ravening wolves rather than charity and affection of devoted shepherds … When God permits such things, it is a very positive proof that …
Pope Leo XIV on illegal immigration, after USCCB statement: “No one has said that the United States should have open borders. I think every country has a right to determine who and how and when people enter.” Continues that the statement issued by the US Bishops should be considered in full context with consideration of the dignity of the human person.
There is also the assumption that none of this harms anyone as long as you manage to stay here for a long time and don't get caught, but all of this harms society in one way or another. I feel uncomfortable allowing lawlessness based on the length of stay in the country.
I have determined that the problem with the Church, if that can be said, is that Catholics do not strive with all their hearts and minds to keep the presence of God. If we could see Our Blessed Lord we would always be on our best behaviour but we live as if He were absent except when we have formal times of prayer. It's very sad because the supernatural vision we have is diminished or lost. If only we all believed that God can make us great saints. Also that our desire is often weak and we don't beg Him to increase it. It is also very sad to see Catholics worrying or being anxious. I deleted my google account and am withdrawing from the internet because I have looked too many years at hand wringing Catholics and it is disturbing. I'm not saying this in any way in relation to what you have posted, I just saw that you had followed me and so thought you might be interested in my thoughts :) We must work to encourage one another. There is a YouTube channel I only discovered after deleting …More
Regarding the scandalous Doctrinal Note “Mater populi fidelis” The Doctrinal Note presented in the past few days at the Vatican, with only its Latin incipit, Mater Populi Fidelis, constitutes yet another scandalous affront from a treacherous and deviant Hierarchy, which for over sixty years, in an unstoppable crescendo, has used its authority to speciously impose its own doctrinal and moral deviations on Catholics, with the aim of dismantling the Catholic Church and losing souls. The haste—one might almost say the fury—to destroy is such that it also highlights the contradictions existing within the synodal body itself, afflicted by a significant pathological bipolarism: on the one hand, it declares the Marian title of Co-redemptrix attributed to the Virgin Mary to be improper, and on the other, it promotes John Henry Newman to Doctor Ecclesiæ, who had defended that title against the Anglicans after their attack on the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. The indignation and sense …More
[St. Anthony of Padua XII-XIII Century AD; Lisbon, Kingdom of Portugal/Padua, Holy Roman Empire; Doctor of the Church] “The words were barely out of the saint s mouth before a great commotion was noticed in the sea. Thousands of fishes of every size and species were seen to come in the greatest order to its surface, the smaller ones placing themselves in front, and the larger ones behind. Then began one of the most extraordinary sermons ever preached. The saint addressed them as if they were beings endowed with reason. “Oh! ye fishes of the deep, praise and thank your God and Creator for the unspeakable blessings He has lavished on you, favoring you above all dumb animals. See and admire the beautiful home He, in His infinite goodness, has prepared for you; look at those crystal waters, in which it is so easy for you to find a refuge against the storm and the enemy. Not only has He provided for all your wants, but He has made you prolific above all other creatures. You alone have been …More
WASHINGTON, D.C., (LifeSiteNews) — A whistleblower archdiocesan priest whom Cardinal Robert McElroy has asked the Vatican to laicize has alleged that McElroy has been involved in three homosexual affairs over the years before being appointed archbishop of Washington. Father Michael Briese ratcheted up his public accusations against McElroy after the cardinal reportedly refused the priest’s request for a meeting. Briese, whose previous allegations — which McElroy dismissed as defamatory — were focused on years-long predatory clergy sexual abuse cover-ups by McElroy and his predecessor, Cardinal Wilton Gregory. Briese’s latest round of allegations took aim at the cardinal-archbishop’s personal life. In an open letter published on November 1, Briese suggested in explicit, graphic terms that McElroy had engaged in sodomic practices over the 40 years of his priesthood. The incensed priest accused McElroy of “lifelong infidelity to celibacy and living a moral priesthood,” and said, “…
