That's wonderful to think that conversions to true Catholicism and the Roman Rite is growing. I think you are correct. I have 2 parishes near me. One is Novus Ordo, one is a Fraternity of St. Peter church. I'm only 32, so I wasn't around to guess how many Masses they had before VAtican II, but the Novus Ordo church had 4 scheduled Masses when me and my family moved to our suburbs of Philadelphia house. Up until 2 years ago, they had 4 Masses still. Now they have 3. I've driven by their parking lot on Sundays during the A.M., and there's really only 1 Mass which brighs out a full lot. The other church, is a FSSP church which in the beginning had 1 Latin Mass at 8:00 am,. Even though that was early, the church was filled. Now they have 2 Masses, 1 ordinary low Mass, and 1 High Mass sung with chant and choir. Now there's talk they want to buy the third Catholic church in my general area, which is 2 1/2 times bigger than their present one. At present it is a closed parish, but they want to buy it. The former school is now a convent of nuns from Mexico who are new to our Archdiocese and wear really cool looking purple old-fashioned habits. Very impressive.. Al young girls probably in their 20's and 30's....eight of them.
The school used to be run by the Sisters of St. Joseph, radical liberal layclothes nuns, 5 of them, all well past 70. Kinda sad to see one nun with a walker teaching first graders. She was 76 at the time....one of the "younger" St. Joseph nuns there
