QUESTION 18 — THE LIFE OF GOD
Since intellection is an operation of the living, we must, after the study of science and intelligence in God, study his life.
1. Whose responsibility is it to live?
2. What is life?
3. Is life suitable for God?
4. Are all things life in God?
Article 1 — Whose responsibility is it to live?
Objections: 1. It seems that living is common to all natural things. Indeed, Aristotle says that “movement is like life for all beings in nature”. But all natural things are endowed with movement. So they all participate in life. 2 . Plants are said to live, for the reason that there is a principle in them which makes them grow and decrease. But local movement is more perfect than the movement of growth and decay, and it is prior by nature, as Aristotle proves. Therefore, since all bodies in nature have within them a certain principle of local movement, it seems that all of them live. 3. Among natural bodies, the most imperfect are the elements. But life is attributed to …More

Profile
Born poor. Studied in Paris, France, and ordained in 1700. While a seminarian he delighted in researching the writings of Church Fathers, Doctors and Saints as they related to the Blessed Virgin Mary, to whom he was singularly devoted.
Under Mary‘s inspiration, he founded the Daughters of Divine Wisdom, a religious institute of women devoted to the care of the desititute, and a brother organization, the Brothers of Saint Gabriel. During this work, he began his apostolate of preaching the Rosary and authentic Marian devotion. He preached so forcefully and effectively against the errors of Jansenism that he was expelled from several dioceses in France. In Rome Pope Clement XI conferred on him the title and authority of Missionary Apostolic, which enabled him to continue his apostolate after returning to France. He preached Mary everywhere and to everyone. A member …More

SIN IN GENERAL. - ORIGINAL SIN.
1. Sin is a deliberate violation of the law of God.
2. For there to be deliberate violation the person should, in the first place, be competent to judge whether what he contemplates doing is right or wrong; and, in the second place, should of his free will do what he knows to be wrong. Without these two conditions he would not be responsible for what he did and it would not be a case of sin.
3. Sin is the greatest of evils, 1stly, because it is an insult to God, whereas other evils touch creatures only; and, 2ndly., because it is the source of all the evils we suffer in this life and in the next.
4. There are two kinds of sin - original sin and actual or personal sin.
5. Original sin is what we attaches to us from our birth and of which we have inherited the guilt through the disobedience of our first parent Adam. Although we are not personally guilty of this sin with our own personal will, yet it was committed by our human nature with the will of …More

Cardinal Ravasi: Christ Was a "Layman"

Jesus Christ - the great High Priest (Heb 4:14) and High Priest forever (Heb 6:20) - "was a layman," Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, 81, former president of the Pontifical Council for Culture, said on 24 April during a round table discussion at the Lateran University in Rome, VaticanNews.va reported.
Ravasi made his embarrassing statement while discussing his distinction between "secular" and "secularist" and his rejection of a "theocratic state model".
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states in §436: "It was necessary for the Messiah to be anointed by the Spirit of the Lord at the same time as King and Priest, and also as Prophet".
In §1551 it explains that the ministerial priesthood "depends entirely on Christ and his unique priesthood" and that "the sacrament of Holy Orders imparts a 'holy power' which is none other than that of Christ".

Jesus Christ is first and foremost God the Son. There is only ONE Person in Our Lord Jesus Christ and that Person is the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. He is by no means a creature of any kind. Yes, he united to His Divine Person a humanity, a human nature, body and soul. However, there is only one Personal subject in Our Lord and that Personal subject is and always has been and always will be God the Son. He is the Great High priest, King, Prophet, and Lamb of God, offered for our sins. To call Him a "layman" shows the degree to which apostasy from the Catholic and Apostolic Faith has taken over the Vatican. So many prelates seem to be Arian, or semi-Arian -- all under the influence of Karl Rahner, SJ, and his faulty Christology. St. Athanasius and St. Cyril of Alexandria, pray for us!

Pope approves canonization of “Apostle of the Holy Spirit”
on 04/28/24
Bl. Elena Guerra taught St. Gemma Galgani and had a particular devotion to the Holy Spirit, founding the Oblates of the Holy Spirit.
On April 13, Pope Francis approved a miracle attributed to the intercession of Bl. Elena Guerra, a native of Lucca, Italy, from the 19th century.
The miracle paves the way for the canonization of Bl. Elena, which will take place at a later time.
Teacher of St. Gemma Galgani
Born in Lucca on June 23, 1835, Elena was drawn to a particular devotion to the Holy Spirit after her confirmation at eight years old.
As she grew into an adult, she was pulled in a variety of directions and was constantly discerning what God wanted her to do. Eventually she was led to begin teaching children of wealthy parents in Lucca, as the Vatican biography explains: [A]fter reading the biography of Saint Angela Merici, wanting to do something for youth education, she [was inspired] to [found a] school for some …More

Lyrics: A male and female He created us. Head and Heart the Church has stated thus. My home won't need a heart that hearts to be a head. That's only Satan's plan I follow God instead. When my baby says Mommy to me that is, when God tells me that I follow the plan of His. Please don't give me desk and office and salary. All I need is home and husband and my baby. They would almost call me hero to kill my kids. Or if I acted like a pervert in public vids. But if I only want what's normal and be a mom. They'll tell me that I lack ambition and something's wrong. Man or woman mission one is accept God's plan. And if you're woman that means don't try to be a man. A woman with shoulder pads typing at a desk, is like a man on the street who put on a dress.
