A military offensive on Rafah will be ‘Catastrophe upon catastrophe’: UNICEF spokesperson
James Elder, a UNICEF spokesperson, expressed grave concerns about a potential military offensive on Rafah, describing it as "horrific" and predicting "catastrophe upon catastrophe." He emphasized the necessity of safe zones providing access to water, sanitation, and food. No Joke: Vatican Praises Traditional Teachings and Rituals

The Vatican's Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, headed by Cardinal Miguel Ayuso Guixot, sent a message on 6 May to Buddhists celebrating 'Vesak', a festival commemorating Buddha's birth, enlightenment and passing [i.e.: descent into hell].
The message expresses the belief that Christians and Buddhists can work together to promote peace, reconciliation and resilience, "values deeply rooted in our respective religious traditions". In real life, there is no way to peace without Christ, the Prince of Peace.
It even speaks of the "noble teachings of our respective traditions" and believes that "the rituals and worship appropriate to our respective religious traditions" promote reconciliation and resilience.
In reality, Buddhist ideas are wrong and their rituals are demon worship, while the Vatican fights against "the rituals and worship" according to the Roman Rite, which originated with Christ and the apostles.
The message quotes Paul VI, Desmond Tutu, Buddha, St Paul and St Francis (…More

Tell me about it. I once took an American priest, now deceased, who was visiting England, to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham (Norfolk, England). This was a priest who had worked in the Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens area in the USA, and had dealt with AIDS patients and all sorts, and had certainly had to deal with the seamier side of life, but even he was shocked at the dress (or lack of) of the traveller community that he witnessed that weekend. Young men walking into the chapel, shirtless, during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and young women in the chapel wearing (or rather not wearing) clothes which would be considered indecent on a beach by most traditional Catholics. I'm not singling out the traveller community - it happens with others as well - perhaps not to such an extent - but the appalled reaction of that priest (RIP) to what he saw that weekend remains with me.

Today marks the older observance of St. John before the Latin Gate in Rome, Italy. A tradition mentioned by St. Jerome, which goes back to the second century, says St. John the Apostle was taken to Rome under the Emperor Domitian and plunged into a cauldron of boiling oil; by a striking miracle he came out safe and sound from this torture. A church dedicated in honor of St. John was built near the Latin Gate, the spot referred to by the tradition.
Der heilige Johannes erlitt die Schmerzen des Martyriums direkt vor den Toren Roms, aber er starb nicht. Heute begeht die Kirche das Fest zum Gedenken an sein Martyrium.

Pope: Take a moment and thank God for your friends
on 05/06/24
Jesus wants more, something greater, that goes beyond goods and plans themselves: it takes friendship.
As Jesus calls his disciples his “friends” in the Gospel of Sunday, Pope Francis encouraged the faithful to take a moment to think of all the friends God has put in our lives, and thank Him for that gift.
Before praying the Regina Caeli on May 5, the Pope considered:
In the Bible the “servants” of God are special people, to whom He entrusts important missions, such as, for example, Moses (cf. Ex 14:31), King David (cf. 2 Sam 7:8), the prophet Elijah (cf. 1 Re 18:36), up to the Virgin Mary (cf. Lk 1:38). They are people in whose hands God places His treasures (cf. Mt 25:21). But all of this is not enough, according to Jesus, to say who we are for Him, it is not enough: He wants more, something greater, that goes beyond goods and plans themselves: it takes friendship.

@Luciano Costa "And what is the face of Jesus that I show to others, especially to those who err and need forgiveness?" Well, I certainly hope it's not the face this imposter displays to Catholics committed to the fullness of the Ancient Faith. What's your point, by the way, of constantly pitching these misleading "softballs" regarding this imposter?
