The history class “The Catholic Intellectual Tradition” has become one of Yale’s most popular courses. Last spring, it attracted 85 students - up from just 13 a decade ago. The course explores two millennia of Catholic thought, from early Christianity and medieval mysticism to debates about war, philosophy and modern life. It has even reportedly attracted more students than long-standing Yale favourites such as “The Birth of Europe” and “The Roman Empire”. This boom comes at a time when universities are debating cuts to the humanities.
I understand that his blood line is not even British. Rather eastern European (Transylvania?). This royal family should be remembered with the killing of Princess Diana. Who was about to start a new foundation for Palestinians before she died.
Cardinal Domenico Battaglia, 63, of Naples, Italy, wrote the foreword to the book 'Transgender People'. He believes that the Church is called to "renew its gaze upon humanity". The book deals with “complex and sensitive issues,” he writes. His examples are “gender dysphoria, transgender identities, and life experiences that do not conform to traditional models.” This raises “profound questions - including for the Church.” Cardinal Battaglia proposes “a path not of condemnation, but of accompaniment”: “No one is excluded from God’s heart.” And: “No life is foreign to the mystery of salvation.” “Every person, every story - even those that seem distant or difficult to understand - carries within it the possibility of a revelation.” The book “reminds us that behind ideas there are people. People whom we must encounter, listen to, and accompany.” #newsUqdcmgjzfp
@spinmeister there's never anything you guys see that can be satisfying with the novus ordo, that's precisely why NOBODY listens to you guys when you talk your big "traditional ways" and your critical points on the matter on wayyyy more of the 90% of the catholic world, the novus ordo mass IS the mass and the Eucharist there is not false my dear @Ivan Tomas the Eucharist IS the Holy Flesh of God, there’s better ways to address the problems there, but heck, not even priests listens to your points, even less speaking like that... Anyways, I don’t know why I even reply when some of you are like walls, or like the men with stones ready to pounce the adulterous woman. Even that spinfraud guy comes, speaks his mind while having a block on me but whatever, not losing any sleep over it.
[Saint Benedict of Nursia; V-VI Century AD; born: Nursia, Kingdom of Italy/died: Mons Casinus, Eastern Roman Empire; aged 67; Father of Western Monasticism ~ Order of Saint Benedict, Patron of Europe, Rule of Saint Benedict, Saint Benedict Medal] Chapter IX ~ Of a huge stone which was removed BY THE AID OF THE SAINT'S PRAYERS. ONE day, as the monks were erecting the walls of the monastery, there was a stone hard by which they wished to place in the building. Two or three being unable to remove it, several others came to assist them, but the stone remained as immovable as if it were profoundly rooted in the earth. This made them think the devil was seated thereon, since it could not be even stirred by so many hands. To overcome this difficulty they sent to the man of God that he would vouchsafe to come and banish the enemy by his prayers, so that they might succeed in lifting the stone. The saint came immediately, prayed and gave his blessing, whereupon the stone was lifted as easily as …Higit pa

Archbishop Jesús Sanz Montes of Oviedo has backed rallies across Spain in support of Ceuta and Melilla. He criticised Morocco’s “territorial claims” and accused Spain’s government of failing to act. His comments came after more than 70,000 immigrants crossed from Morocco into Ceuta on 31 July, overwhelming the Spanish exclave. Around 5,000 are said to remain. A police report cited this week called the mass crossing “planned” and raised possible links to Moroccan security forces. Rallies have since spread across Spain under the slogan: “Ceuta is not for sale — Ceuta must be defended.”

With thanks to Tudor the adulterer with whom the great decline of the ever-shrinking Britain began. Once a nation is separated from God and the one true Faith, all doors are open to all demons. The current Charlie, as well as his friends such as Marina the "spiritual cooking" chef, are at the forefront of this help.
Isabel Vaughan-Spruce is being prosecuted again. The 48-year-old Catholic faces a new trial in January 2027 after pleading not guilty to interfering with an abortion clinic. Prosecutors say she stood inside a 150-metre buffer zone outside a Birmingham clinic on five occasions in 2025. Vaughan-Spruce replies she approached no one and simply prayed silently in her head. She was arrested over silent prayer in 2022 and 2023 and received a £13,000 police settlement in 2024. “Wherever we are permitted to be, our thoughts inevitably go with us,” she says. “Those thoughts should not be subject to censorship.” The new case is being brought under England’s national buffer-zone law.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 6,1-5. While Jesus was going through a field of grain on a sabbath, his disciples were picking the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating them. Some Pharisees said, "Why are you doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?" Jesus said to them in reply, "Have you not read what David did when he and those (who were) with him were hungry? (How) he went into the house of God, took the bread of offering, which only the priests could lawfully eat, ate of it, and shared it with his companions." Then he said to them, "The Son of Man is lord of the sabbath." shareyourcatholicfaith
Fr Edmund Waldstein, a monk and priest of Heiligenkreuz Abbey in Austria, will no longer teach moral theology at the abbey’s seminary. Rector Wolfgang Klausnitzer, 75, a diocesan priest, says Waldstein will not return to teaching during his tenure. Waldstein has defended the death penalty for heretics and Catholic integralism. He has now been removed from teaching and sent to Rome to pursue a further doctorate in philosophy. He has occasionally celebrated the Traditional Latin Mass.

[Saint Bridget of Sweden – XIV Century AD; born: Uppland, Sweden/died: Rome, Papal States; Patron Saint of Europe, Widow, Mystic, Spiritual Writer] Answer to the sixth question. ”As to why the wicked sometimes have greater worldly success than the good" Answer to the sixth question. ”As to why the wicked sometimes have greater worldly success than the good, I answer: This is an indication of my great patience and love and a testing of the righteous. If I were to give temporal goods to my friends alone, then the wicked would despair and the good would grow proud. Instead, temporal goods are granted to all, so that I, God, the giver and Creator of all things, may be loved by all and so that good people who become proud may be taught righteousness by means of the wicked. It is also in order that everyone may realize that temporal things are not to be loved or preferred to me, God, but are only to be possessed for the sake of sustenance, and in order that they may be all the more zealous in …Higit pa

"Just one month ahead of a global meeting of bishops in the Vatican on Amoris laetitia, some episcopal leaders have told The Pillar that they have not received information about what to expect or how to prepare, and are eager to learn the pope’s plans for the scope and approach to the discussion."
The Vatican’s International Theological Commission has just given a positive hearing to panentheism (the idea that creation exists “in God” so is also Divine).
Nový dokument Medzinárodnej teologickej komisie predstavuje panenteizmus ako „interpretačný rámec“ na chápanie Boha ako „úzko prítomného v každom aspekte skutočnosti“. Výslovne to stavia do kontrastu s klasickým teizmom.

[Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort – XVII-XVIII Century AD; born: Montfort-sur-Meu, France/died: Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, France; aged 43, Total consecration to Jesus through Mary] 5. Exterior practices 60. Besides interior practices, which we have just mentioned, this devotion has certain exterior practices which must not be omitted or neglected. Consecration and its renewal 61. The first is to choose a special feast-day to consecrate ourselves through Mary to Jesus, whose slaves we are making ourselves. This is an occasion for receiving Holy Communion and spending the day in prayer. At least once a year on the same day, we should renew the act of consecration. Offering of a tribute in submission to the Blessed Virgin 62. The second is to give our Lady every year on that same day some little tribute as a token of our servitude and dependence. This has always been the customary homage paid by slaves to their master. This tribute could consist of an act of self-denial or alms, or a …Higit pa
"63. The third practice is to celebrate every year with special fervour the feast of the Annunciation of our Lord. This is the distinctive feast of this devotion and was chosen so that we might honour and imitate that dependence which the eternal Word accepted on this day out of love for us."
