Yes, sinners are dead and we should cry out for their spiritual resurrection, but those who do not repent are dead and left outside. We don't bring corpses into our sanctuary any more than the father in the parable converted his house into a pigsty so the unrepentant son would be near by.

By contrast, the virtuous son he says, "You are always with me, all that I have is yours..."

Whoever encourages sinners lures them to hell. And doesn't it hurt the abandoned spouse greatly when the new couple is blessed by the priest? Is this supposed to be “pastoral”?

They accompany and support everyone heading to hell (adherents of false religions, mortal sinners, heretics, etc.), and believe that saving them from death is a sin. This attitude can occur in one of two cases - either they are demons in the flesh, or they believe in universal salvation. I think it's the second one. But in this case they are all heretics and apostates.
