He died on the same day and hour as Saint Bernard. After his death, the archdeacon appeared to his bishop and revealed, "Know, Monsignor, that at the very hour I passed away, thirty-three thousand people also died. Out of this number, St. Bernard and myself went up to heaven without delay, three went to purgatory, and all the others fell into Hell."
If that’s St Bernard of Clairvaux, then he died in 1153 - that is at the absolute peak of Catholicism 5 saved out of 33,000 souls. Of the 33K I guess 5K were Catholics, still only 5 saved. Something is wrong!

The priest faces in the direction of and towards God to Whom he offers sacrifice and worship. The Jews always offered sacrifice facing toward God in the Holy of Holies in the Temple; never toward the people in attendance as this would have been nonsensical as neither the Jews of the Old Testament nor we Catholics of the New Testament worship man.

I wonder what would happen if they ever had a Latin Mass parish in a safe area. As it is, this Shrine attracts very few attendees, as a parish church it was almost completely abandoned. Too dangerous.
It's a beautiful Shrine in Cleveland, but as usual with the Latin Masses, it's in a very dangerous inner city area.
